The new SSR for 05 has 390 hp, looks cool and is one of Bob Lutz creations. I like the power hard top vert.

Same as Dave - The Prowler stays but an SSR as a daily driver would be OK.

Trade: no freaking way. I would not even trade our PT Convert for an SSR.

Purchase in addition : Possibly if it fit the budget, which it doesn't

I've considered the new SSR as a run around vehicle. It would be in addition to what I have. It would definitely be cheaper than what I really want which is v-i-p-e-r. As for a mustang. I'm sorry but although the new mustang looks alright, give it a few months and you have something that you will see at every light. No matter how you slice it, it will always be one of a billion. The only way to make it something that would stand out is either set it on fire or put a prowler body on it.

I came sort of close last eyar...I do like the SSR a lot.

But nothing beats the Prowler so far....I really want a 32 Ford type of hot rod, because no matter how you slice it, 8 cylinders can't be beat when it comes to rumble....

But.... I have yet to see anything beat the Prowler in styling and coolness, so I'm sticking with ole' BT. Besides, I can't stand to think of parting with all the memorabilia I collected that would go with the car.

Not many cars made that literally changed a person's life, and possibly even their career. Owning a Prowler and being a part of this site has led to friendships and career opportunities that boggle my mind. (You'll see my name a bit more in the future related to custom painting....things are getting interesting, that's all I'll say for now.)

No way on a trade. I do like the SSRs and will consider getting one to use as a work truck (or a truck to use during work), but I will wait for a year from now when I expect to be able to pick up a nice one for around $22K-$23K.

Before you even think of an SSR go to Corvetteforum.com at bottom of page you will see link to the SSR chat room. Nothing but problems that GM refuses to fix. Also HUGE depreciation. 05 new for $1K below INVOICE. New 04's for $10K off MSRP. 04's used for $30-$35K with less than 1000 miles on them. A 300+ day supply at dealers lots. Keep the Kat. You will be happier.

Trade The Prowler No Way! After buying 2 Vipers ( Red 2004 and Yellow 2005) and a Qvale Mangusta this year i'm not buying or selling anything. I would like the new all wheel drive Magnum with the 425 HP Hemi (coming out in June I think) But if your thinking of buying a SSR why not just Buy the Dodge Ram SRT-10 Viper Truck 500HP!!

I was reading this post and noticed that a box appears in Black Tie 161 post that has my ISP address and internet provider. Had my daughter log on and it shows her ISP address. Is anyone else seeing the same thing.

My Toy - yes,,,it works on everyone's ISP #. Don't worry,,,Black Tie Joe will not run up your credit card, lol.

No,,,wouldn't trade the cat for one, but would buy one when they really get cheap. Read there was a 265 day supply of them built, and they aren't selling. I'm glad GM got another [GTO included] stuck in their butt. Over priced it and then the dealers got greedy as well.
