Halicat is 100% correct! The part number for the Purolator filter is PL14670. It has a built in oil drain back flap that could help prevent cold start valve train 'tick'. Be careful on the oil fill. My 99 calls for 5 qts in the manual. It really only takes 4.5 qts. Play it safe, start with 4.5 and add if necessary! Some Prowlers take 4.5 some 5.0.......don't know why.

mobil 1 and mopar filter.the purolator filter is no different and does not stop the startup rattle.due to its high heat tolerance i will nver use regular oil again.

I'm with Jan!

I used to use a NAPA Gold oil filter in addition to the Mobil 1 synthetic. Just recently I decided to switch to the original MOPAR filter.

Brian - won't make any difference between the two filters you stated. NAPA's top of the line is a very good filter.

Note: You won't be using NAPA products much longer
Your package should arrive soon!!
