We need to get rooms booked for this if we are going to stay in the Summerset area. Last year they had like 2,500 cars. Area rooms will fill up QUICK. I suggest we book our rooms thru usher travel and vacations. Let Marty and Rebecca find us the place and get us a good rate. So if I under stand this correctly, the Prowlers will all meet in Somerset, Ky, and Somerset is the cruise destination. And, this a one night deal, Saturday the 28th of July, rain or shine. If I missed something let me know. Sounds great to me, but I need to get the OK from the Boss (Sharon). |

Rebecca is calling several hotels now. These are not very many in Somerset and a few are already sold out. If we can't get a group rate she will try to find a property that has a dozen empty rooms right now so we can all make reservations at the same place. |

Do the people coming from the North want to meet in Cincinnati area Friday night, hang out at the local cruis in and then cruise to Somerset with the other dozens of cars on Saturday?? Holiday Inn Express - Somerset has 16 rooms open right now -most with 2 beds a few Kings may be available. The person Rebecca talked with will call her later today or in the morning when she checks with a manager for a group rate. Rack rate on our internet booking website is $75.00 right now. We'll post more when we get a call back. |

They had alomost 100 cars from the Cincy area last year, I think. I did not drive down in the morning due to bad weather. There is a large cruise-in on Friday evening in Milford, which is only a mile off of I-275 to the east of Cincy. They meet at the rest area at about mile 180 on I-75 in N. Ky. about 12-15 miles south of Cincinnati. It is just north of where I-71 & I-75 split. Quincy, we will meet in N.KY or on Friday evening in Milford and then proceed to Somerset and meet the guys coming from the south or west in Somerset. I'll post this in Events Discussion area section Holiday Inn Express Somerset, KY 10 room block - all with 2 beds (606) 678-2023 Ask for Prowler Owners Association rate of $72.00. It's only a $3.00 savings but we are donating a portion of the the Travel Agents Commission (automatically built into price) to POA. |

I don't think the hotel had any idea people would book this quickly. Hopefully they will get the confirmation numbers worked out. Please post if you do not receive it soon and we'll call them to see what's happening. |

July 28th is a hillbilly Power tour/ woodward dream cruise rolled into one. there will be meeting points so people can cruise down in groups from a few differnt cities. To get a better parking place they say you have to be there early. I think there was a group coming from the cinny area last year. i have not seen route and meeting points for this year, but with the Prowlers we can have our own group cruising into Sommerset. So Ed, Would the people comming from the north stay in Cincy for Fri and Sat? Sounds like two events, one Fri in Milford and then Sat in Ky. Where in Cincy could the northern group stay. |

Lou, I can check on hotels. There is one right at the exit in Milford, I think. Or, you could go over to Florence, KY area and stay there and only be about 5 miles from the starting point and have tons of restaraunts right there. There are plenty of restaurants at the Florence and exits. From Milford to Florence is only about 15 minutes. Let me know which you prefer and I will get locations and numbers for you. Milford is just off I-275 on the east and you can travel I-275 into Ky and be an exit or two away from the Florence/Turfway Rd exit on I-75 where 275 connects back onto I-75. |

Ed, Florance is fine. If we can find a decent hotel in the area perhaps the northern Prowler crew planning to cruise down will want to stay as a group. I suppose two nights, Fri and Sat leave Sun in the am. Details on the Milford / Sommerset events with maps would help. Their site was not very useful. |
