Lot # 591 a limited edition?? Black Tie Prowler. I thought the entire Prowler production run was limited edition?? Oh well, just shows you learn something new every day.

steve the lot# 591 is the number across the stage so to speak, not the production number.

Steve
The Black Ties and Woodward edition Prowler's are considered limited within the total Prowler production because only 151 Woodwards and 163 Black Ties were produced for sale. Each one was hand striped and numbered by Dr Ru. The number is on the rear deck, bottom center within the pin stripe. It is very very small and if you don't look close, it looks like a flaw in the pin stripe. These two are the lowest production numbers of any of the colors produced with exception of the one High Voltage Blue Last Prowler.

There were some non striped, non numbered Black Ties that made it to the general public. I am not usre of the exact number but it would be less than 5.

The Black Ties that were unnumbered were 2000 Models...
There was 5 of them and they did have pinstripes but with no Numbers.
All the other 163 Black Ties were of the 2001 Year!

There must have been more than one guy who thought it was worth that much or the bidding would not have gotten up there.

It's also been said that Deep Candy Red is the lowest production number at 301. This was based on the fact that the Candy Red was a completely new color. The Black Ties and Woodwards were produced using existing colors.
