I took Ed Monahan advice and had all four my hub caps repaired. Repair work is excellent, all four fit perfect.Turnaround time was less than a week I would recommend this to all.

Glad it worked out for you. They stand behind their work.
I think that over the long haul the plastic is going to become even more brittle and break more easily.
I know that the ones on the Candy Prowler of mine simply broke while they were already on the car. I have spinners on that car and when I washed the car I discovered one of the center caps were broken and it had not been removed in a couple of years and was not broken when I washed the car previously.

ed,it most likely broke due to the weight of the spinner.when i first saw the spinners,i wondered how that mass might affect the center cap.

My spinners don't touch the center cap. ETMIDZ did a great engineering job on them. He cut the center caps and they don't support any of the weight of the spinners or the hardware.
Mac, I don't think we have had a full inch of snow TOTAL so far this year. I was in Springfield the other day and was shocked at how much they had for only being about 40 miles north of us. It was in the 50s a few days ago. I think Thurs or Fri. I actually did wash cars that day.
I found the broken center caps back in Sept or Oct probably.

Just a point of clarification, I don't really have anything to do with this. Dick Linneman and his son own a shop that can fix almost anything and Dick owns a Silver Prowler. He likes to come up with innovative "fixes". He doesn't particularly care for computers so he asked me to post about the repair and have folks mail them to me, so he didn't have to mess with that portion of it (the easy portion). I don't want anyone to give me credit for something I had nothing to do with.
Dick is 72 and loves to figure out things. I just happen to live in the same city.
Anyway, I think it is a great PERMANENT fix.

Ed is correct,,,,this center cap 'fix' is really a nice solution to the center cap debacle of broken tabs. Dick does a superb job of upgrading your broken caps!

Did I say we haven't had any snow all year !!! We got it today, followed by ice for a few hours and they are predicting 4 to 6 inches by morning and more ice. I guess we caught up with some of you. Only 3 weeks until Spring Training and Phil will be looking for his shadow on Monday.
