I am going to replace tires with Goodyear EMT and am seeing an out the door price at $1650. What kind of prices have you been seeing for them. Has anyone found a non Goodyear runflat replacement tire that you like?

I just got 2 rears shipped for $1010. I think they were about $485 each (plus shipping) and fronts were about $365 each (plus shipping). I didn't need fronts, but had I got the set of 4, I would have gotten $50 off at tirerack.

I replaced all four of my GY with Falcon tires, these are non run flat but the ride&handling are far superior, mounted and balanced with 7.75 sales tax was just under 850...also super tread design take a look..in the front I did have to go one size larger..225x55x17 but they do fit under the fenders.. http://www.falcontire.com/

Yup Jim, have a couple of travel plans and have enough tread to get me into trouble but not enough to get me out.

I priced them (OEM replacements) locally here in Mount Airy Maryland at a larger local tire chain. Was quoted $2200.00 installed. Tires confirmed in stock at their warehouse.
No I did not buy them.

Last year (August) I couldn't find a matching set of anything. Since (at the time) the GY Run-Flats were on backorder since April I was leaning for a set of BF Goodrichs but they were out of stock as well. So I was left with choosing a set of Yokahomas, Yokahomas or Yokahomas. So I opted for the Yokes. They ride really nice and create a very soft ride in the Kat. They have a nice sidewall profile design and a pretty aggressive tread pattern with a really deep tread which pushes the water out of the way. I got them from TireRack for I think about $1,200 - $1,400 to the door. Mountinf & balancing extra.

That is but one of the many reasons I did not buy them.
My tires have lots of tread on them with less than 15,000 miles but they are nine years old and showing signs of dry rot.
I feel comfortable that they won't leave me stranded (for a while anyway) and since I have gone a bit crazy buying stuff for the car recently. I will hold off for now.
