I have a 99 Yellow prowler which I love and is partially a garage toy, but lately I have been diggin' looking at pix of purple prowlers online.
When the Prowlers first came out and they were all purple I didnt much dig the color but loved the car..
but I am starting to appreciate the vibe of it visually...where as my yellow prowler screams "look at me " the whole purple color seems to state a very confident and low key " check me out " .

The car and color attracted me like no other car...ever! I am still proud of my '97 almost 15 years later.

I chose the Black Tie as a new Kat as it was a "conservative" color. All colors are great!

I love my 97 but a Prowler really looks best in black with the chrome wheels.

All Prowler colors are nice , but for me, there is just something about Chrome and Black.

I'm all about the Gold! It stands out and gets allot of attention. The best thing is that it is faster then the black ones (lol). Just kidding they are all cool in there own way. One of the best limited production cars ever made. Who needs custom when you can have production.

I always wanted the original Purple Prowler and jumped on the chance to get my 1999 Purple.
My Mulholland was my first Prowler and I still can't believe I even bought it when I did. I love the look of the Blue and it will forever be my favorite car.
When I saw the Yellow Prowler with that wild paint job, I called my son and told him he had to look at it on ebay. He talked me into bidding on it, and when I won, all I could say was "what am I going to do with three"

Before the prowler came out, I read an article of upcoming new car colors. They said they were going to the pastel colors, lite lime green, lite yellow, sky lite blue, and purple. I laughed and thought, who's going to buy a purple car? (Well, maybe some would buy a purple caddy or something like that.) Then they came out with the prowler and more than the color, I had to had the car for it's styling. Now I laugh when I think of that article, and my feelings about it, and know that I now have a purple car (2 actually). When I saw the yellow when it came out, I couldn't stand it. Over time, it grew on me. Seeing a line of prowlers in various colors is pretty cool. They stand out over the standard black, white, smoke colors on the roads. I still haven't warmed up to the red tho. (I never liked red cars - candy red is different.)

Good thing they never produced a "pink" Prowler because all the Mary Kay ladies would own them. LOL

While I love my Orange - the Purple is still the classic color to me. And I love them with the simple satin wheels. Simple, clean and classic. I still remember taking my kids over to the dealership and snapping pictures of them next to the car (It was roped off) and sadly realizing I could not get one as that one sold for $135,000 to someone......

BTW - The SSR copied that color in my opinion and that purple SSR is also killer looking.
