I thought I’d share this for anyone that ever needed a small item of any kind to look like it was chromed… As you all would know, everything on the market that advertises it’s chrome spray paint and the cap is chromed is always a disappointment at best… You always end up with just silver paint… Over the years I’ve tried them all and silver…silver…silver regardless of brand…
That said, and although I had many nuts and bolts chromed for the front suspension, I missed sending a few that I got lazy about (IE: The quest to find a good chrome spray paint)…
Well I have found the best I have ever seen so sending this tip if you ever need chrome spray paint…
It’s super expensive $30 bucks for 4oz can but worth every penny!!!!
It’s not sold in big box stores but you can find it on eBay… It’s made in Germany
Here are a few random items I put a quick spray on…

Rich, there is a video on YouTube where the guy tested several brands of chrome spray paint and the end result was like you said, they looked like silver. I don't remember him testing the Revell brand.

The only other option I know of is Powder Coating.

Hey Dale…
We may have seen the same video as that’s how I found this paint…
Revell is the paint the blew away all the others… He was spot on…
This paint is as close as you will ever find to chrome.. You can actually see your image/reflection on the item which is amazing for spray paint.
I cannot comment on its durability as I’m just using it but it’s fantastic so far…
Might help out someone with anything around the house or car they would need it on… For best results I would imagine it’s best on smaller parts.

Chrome powder coating is incredible...... until you clear coat it(and you must or it turns grey very quickly). There is a single stage chrome powder coat but it looks like the regular two stage chrome after clear. Just a really really glossy silver.

I have to dig around for some pictures but I had chrome powder coating at my shop years ago. Looks EXACTLY like jet hot coating. Didn’t look chrome at all.
