Delylah Hope Knepper, born an extreme premmie ,had Cerebral Palsy. She was non verbal but was a very happy child. She would laugh, smile and cry to show her moods. She loved watching her brothers running around being silly to amuse her. She was going to school and learning to communicate via eye movements on a computer.
She passed away quietly in her sleep not long after her 6th birthday. She had been found not breathing a week earlier and my son performed CPR on her and saved her. After a day in the hospital they said she was fine and could go home. My son was her primary caregiver and was her world. I admire him greatly for his dedication to his kids.
He of course, like the rest of us is devastated beyond words. Although he always knew this day would probably come, it just doesn’t prepare you at all. No one should have to lose a child.
So, when you see your kids and your grandkids give them an extra big hug. We never know if or when the call is going to come. 😥😥

We are so sorry for your family's loss. It is so hard in these situations to know what to say. I had a down syndrome niece who taught us more about life (and death) than can be imagined. My guess is Delylah did the same. And the integrity your son possess has touched so many, Like my Brother I am sure. She went straight to heaven. I pray the strength she demonstrated in her life situation is with all of you during this time. So very sorry for your loss, I can't imagine. Prayers for all of you.
