I'm looking for some feedback. The Embassy Suites would like to host the Prowler group for the 2003 event July 11th -13th. Their quoted rate is $109 per night, which includes the buffet breakfast for two each morning. Their rooms are all suites. For those who attended last year:

Were you happy with the accommodations?
Are you willing to pay an additional $10/night?

I need your input as I would like to get the Hotel nailed down. Hotels in Columbus will be hard to find this particular weekend due to the number of events going on, including the Goodguys Street Rod Nationals.

The Wyndham rates (Buick host hotel) are $79 for a single room and $89 for a double.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

I thought the hotel was fine and the breakfast was fine as well. I don't have a problem with the rate but if you can beat them up a little that would be better yet.

Thanks for the input Tom. They said we got a better rate last year due to it being a holiday weekend. The other groups staying in the hotel this year are paying in the $119-129 range. I told them we not willing to pay $20-30 more per night, so we settled on $109. I don't think they are going to budge any more on price, so the question is...do we stay at the Embassy or go elsewhere?
