Attention Houston area prowler owners. Mike Krehel has graciously invited the Houston area prowler owners to visit his infamous prowler collection. Space is limited however, but there are still a few available. If there are some local owners who would be interested, please respond with your email address and I will send you more information. The date is Saturday, July 13th at 5 PM, and you have to let me know no later than July 5th. I apologize for short notice. My email address is: dru@cebridge.net . Seems like every time I say I am going to an event, something happens and I miss it. hopefully not this time. Jason and I are planning on attending, the cars are loaded and ready to make the trip! Still don't know if Kim will be going or Christian. ------------------ |

Everyone attending should have received an email regarding meeting place and time to go to Mike's. I sent out a reminder tonight. If you did not get one, please let me know as soon as possible. Ray and Gayle Bartels will probably not attend as Miss Gayle is in the hospital, discharge soon. We wish her a very speedy recovery, and they will be missed. Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. |

To anyone traveling I-10 near downtown... Its closed. An 18 wheeler rolled yesterday and they are repairing the holes it made. This was on I-10 @ I-45 near downtown. |

Got you covered. I already planned on bringing a crate of gas station TP I rounded up this week to wrap Mike's house in. I'll just store a few rolls under the bathtub sized sink in your office and one more on each of the his and hers rollers. Hopefully I'll have some left. I'm also bringing several evergreen trees to hang from the ceiling in your office to keep your office smelling mountain fresh. Since I'm tending to that, I'll let Tom remove all the white trash. He may have to move your life size guard placcard to do so tho. I hope that's ok with you. |

We all had a great time today. I took 63 pictures. I won't post them all but will be posting many of them later. I have to reduce them all and due to the lighting, the hue is a little yellow and I'm working on some color correcting and then will do some cropping on some of them before posting them. Thanks to Joe for putting this together for us and thanks to Mike and Judy for allowing us to partake of their collection. There were several additions since the museum grand opening in 2002. Here's a picture of Tom "Buckets" Randall with the chief Curator. Note to Sr. Curator - I fullfilled my obligations, but I had to leave 2 rollers empty, as I ran out of TP, but when Tom realized you were there, he figured he didn't have to fullfull his duties. You can deal with him next time you see him. |

GaryC's hi-boy and Mike's first Prowler They delivered 5 97 Prowlers to Houston. This was the first one dropped off. I called the dealer 5 minutes after it was dropped off and rushed down to see it. The trailer was cleaned, and the car was still in getting cleaned. When they brought it out, they let 3 people sit in it. I was one of them. The news crew was out there filming us in the car. (The only one that made the news was a pretty lady. LOL.) I made an offer on this car. They offered me a test drive in it and I turned them down. I didn't need to drive it to make up my mind. I knew I wanted the car. They wanted to hold on to it for a while before selling it. I found out this visit that when Mike went down to buy it, they wouldn't even let him sit in it much less test drive it before he bought it.  GaryC's hi-boy

The last Prowler - the High Voltage Blue 
A few years ago, I noticed the side panel on the inside of the door was different than on a regular Prowler. It is an insert as opposed to being part of the door panel. I pointed that out to Mike at the time. He was as surprised as I was. (Most recently I posted that there was something different with it. I was thinking it was sewn in.)

Mike and Judy are presented a Prowler Purple gift in a High Voltage Blue bag  From first Prowler to last Prowler, the world's best Prowler collection Leaving Mike's Some of us went to Sonic afterwards
I know many of you are wanting names. I've been up all night so I'm done. Hopefully some of the others will post names with their pictures. If not I'll come back and post them as best I can. We had a group picture taken. That one might be the better picture for the names. I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I certainly enjoyed being there and taking them. |

Mike & Judy , THANK YOU BOTH ,for giving us this awesome opportunity to view this great collection of vehicles ( Prowlers, GTOs, Vipers & Mercedes). Not to mention all the Prowler memorabilia . It was a pleasure getting to meet you both . I would also like to thank you for the refreshments and dinner and most of all the great fellowship that was had by all . It was great seeing the local area Prowler owners , some old and some new. Finally, Joe (DRU),a special Thank You for coming up with this awesome event and handling all the fine details of making this a success . |
