Recently I have watched a few episodes from the original Batman television series. One of the things I paid attention to was the car and noticed how rough it really was as compared to "today's standards" I imagine that the original car George Barris sold recently at auction had quite a bit of "over restoration" done to it to make it look as nice as it did. JMO  |

The TV series batmobile was done out of a ford concept car that George had purchased. They transformed in a few weeks for the show. The red accents were added in the parking lot of the set so it would show up better.
George would have guys get in the trunk of a car for the lowered look at photo shoots if it didn't suit him. The GTO I don't get it but then I don't have 38 MILLION DOLLARS to spend on anything it really isn't my kind of car, would rather have a 66 GTO pontiac.......... LOL |

...they made me eat 2 dozen Twinkies before boarding my flight, got sick at the auction and had to halt my bidding at 31 million $
