This message has been edited by cypunk on 07-08-2004 at 01:06 PM If you read the story and the info that I linked you too, the 2000 and after have a few more comfort features. I've gotten used to the new mirror features in my 02 and find that I miss them when driving the 99. Doesn't stop me from driving it though. I find no quality differences in mine. I've not had any major problems with either one. I guess if it was me, I'd get the one that had the upgraded changes, as long as it is a color that I like. If the 99 is a color you prefer over the other one, get that! cypunk I have found 2 prowlers in my price range and was wondering if there is any main differance between the prowlers made in 1999 or 2001 I thought I read somewhere the suspension was improved after 1999 any help much appreciated CJ Here is some information that has been posted in the past about the differences between the 1997-1999 and the 2000-2002 Prowlers:
Shocks: different vendor

cypunk CJ I see you own 2 prowlers, Is there any major differance in the rides between your 1999 and 2002. CJ Yes, the 99 is a bit rougher than the 2002. They changed the suspension in 2000 for a better ride. Now I've never minded the ride of the 99......kind of reminds you of more of that hot rod ride. However, you can change some of the suspension parts to smooth out the ride of the earlier cars. My husband has the parts for my 99, but has not gotten around to changing them yet. I drive both of my cats. Tire pressure helps somewhat also. You'll be happy with either one.
ed monahan CyPunk, I would say that the color and the mileage along with the warranty would be the biggest difference that you should worry about. Price difference might be a biggie in the decision making process, too. CJ You'll find that everyone here has a different opinion about the cars so you need to make a judgment as to what will make you the happiest and what you feel is the best car for you.
