GortSince it is not possible to get runflat tires in the original size, it looks like I'll be replacing the runflats with non-runflat tires, so joining AAA seems like the thing to do since I would need a rollback to get the car to a tire store. I've never been a member of AAA. Any comments?
JeraneWKeep in mind about roll-backs. The ramp on most is too steep for the nose of the Prowler and if there is need of rescue, the driver may need a couple wood planks to decrease the incline of the ramps. Also, the driver needs to know where to attach tow cable; see your owner's manual.

page 115 of the owners manual says refer to the "Service" manual for that information. I don't have a service manual. The owners manual does say to use a flatbed only. Do you happen to know where the tow line goes when pulling the Prowler up on the rollback?

garysssDo A search.
garysssYou should print this out and put in glove box.

JeraneWNow you can see why this is a great site. Buy your service manual from him. It will come in handy in the long run.

THANKS. I'll keep that in the car for sure.

George JohnsonI have AAA Insurance just for that reason.
VinceMAnother thing to consider keeping in the car is a set of 4 axle straps in case the rollback doesn't have them. It can save potential damage to the suspension.

ed monahanI carry a "side cutter" pliers to grab and pull out a nail or screw. I carry a plug kit to fix the hole and a small compressor with me. When on a long trip I usally carry a drill in case I have to clean out the hole a little better or make it slightly larger if it is a tiny nail.
HappyKatHello Gort, nice ride! AAA can't hurt, cheap insurance and offer other great value added items such as trip planners and discounts on many items and destinations.
MIKE GATLINStandard AAA coverage probably won't cover problems with a Prowler trailer if you are pulling one.
carguybillI suggest that you check with your insurance company. For example, I have State Farm and my experience has been their road service coverage is excellent.

------------------

Y2KRedProwlerI too have State Farm Insurance and added that coverage to my policy a few years back. I just looked and it costs me $3.50 a year for the "emergency road service coverage."

SuperKatAAA has been good for me for many years
Trailers including car haulers and prowler trailer can be added with the RV package. I do suggest that you purchase a membership with a longer tow allowance to avoid extra charges for distance.

Good Luck
