ed monahan | http://www.ebay.com/itm/224297850804 John, you cannot leave the S at the end of https: You have to delete that to post a link |
ed monahan | I just looked at that item. It is from the dreaded Prowler Store. There prices are about double or triple of the true value of an item, their return policy is almost non-existent and their service sucks. other than that they are highly recommended. lol They have ripped off a ton of POA folks over the years. Stole their designs, etc. |
Stray Cat | Thanks, Ed. When I get the car, ill assess all I want to or need to do. I am starting to see just how good we had in back in the early days of the Prowler!
|
padroo | What ever happened to the decal ones, they looked fine? I haven't heard them mentioned for years. |
ed monahan | Sandy painted the Candy bumpers with fingernail polish, with bumpers off the car, after I had them painted. Looks fine 17 years later. She can do yours in WV. Lol |
Beachkat2 | With the 3M mounting tape on them, I think the price is probably in line with other automotive emblems. My concern is they are so slim that you would need to be careful snagging them on a wash mit. |
Stray Cat | Thanks All - I'll just get the car and figure out what to do. the Shimmers were a really cool option! |
cotonymopar | on the hand painted one, free hand, or taped off? thanks! |
ed monahan | I had taken the bumpers off to have them painted. While still off Sandy painted them with black finger nail polish. Helps prevent runs in the paint. |
ed monahan | Freehand but she is very skilled at fine art. |
Stray Cat | Thanks Ed, I need to decide whether I will paint hese bumpers or not. Then figure out what to do with the Plymouth Prowler in he bumper...... we will see. How many prowlers do you own now ? :-) |
garysss | John, I believe Ed has 3, 97 Purple, 01 Orange and 02 Candy. |
ed monahan | Correct |
Stray Cat | wow! Ed, didn't you own a Red ? That's what I remember..... |
ed monahan | I actually had 2 diff. 99 Reds. Sold one with about 55,000 and bought a low mileage one from a semi local guy. Then bought the Candy with a trailer. Bought the heavily modified one in Calif. and drove it home. Sold the second Red one. Saw a fairly good deal on the 97 and bought it. I probably will sell one or maybe even two of them next Spring. I need to downsize, big time. Sandy is getting old and can't keep up with the maintenance, lol. I won't sell all of them, for sure. I will always keep at least one. |
Stray Cat | I remember a red One, Ed ? |
ed monahan | John, you were posting while I was posting. |
Stray Cat | Sorry Ed, Back in the day, people were posting constantly. It was not a problem, was it ? Remember ? When Al Gore invented the Internet for us to all do this! Those were fun times, for sure. |
hemidan | They are not of good quality. I ordered them and sent them back. Also the adhesive and prep will forever mar your bumper, should you decide to remove them you will have an ugly bumper. The prep kit and adhesive impregnate the bumper. If it were my Prowler I would not install them. Good luck whatever you decide. |
Stray Cat | I think that makes that decision! Thanks hemidan! |
