cayetano lopezceperoPlease help. The lower 3 vertical segments of the grill, when applied the chrome door edge are always coming loose at the edges and do not retain the natural curve (inwards) of the segments. Any idea how to get them to stay put (fallow the natural curve of the segment)Thanks.
GRROWLcontact cement at the ends worked for me.

-GRROWL

CTProwlerThere were little knobs or burrs on the ends i just cut out the bottom area of edge guard with razor knife. not going to see it unless your under the car

------------------

TFischerI laid the chrome edging out in the sun for a few minutes to make it more plyable (can use a hair dryer also) then bent the edging slightly with my hands to follow the curve of the grille before applying. Mine have stayed on with no problems. Good luck! Tami

ALLEY CATALLEY CAT Chrome Grill Treatment System directions:

CLEAN grill vanes!!!

Cut moldings alittle long for each vane length

Pre-heat with hair blow dryer right before each vane install

Trim excess with boxcutter blade or other sharp cutting item

Admire your completed project,,,,then mail $10 to me for the user fee

purplecatTo keep the water out of the cut pieces, I applied a dab of clear fingernail polish to the ends and let dry before putting them on the car.

This way when the car is washed or caught in the rain, they stay looking good.

Thanks Dawn for that suggestion. I'm going to add this step to my install directions, along with a raise of $2 to the already low, everday price of the user fee

New one time fee for use of the ALLEY CAT CHROME GRILL TREATMENT SYSTEM is now $12,,,effective June 15, 2003

CTProwlerYou should package a kit. Alot of new people joining POA everyday!!!!Loosing Money!!!They will never make a grille That cheap LOL!!!!

------------------

ALLEY CATChuck - I thought about that at one time. Problem was that different thicknesses of door edge moldings look better with certain colors. On yellow and red, the thin molding looks best. On black and blues, the large size molding looks better. On silver, orange, purple, the medium size stands out. Haven't seen a gold or candy red with it on yet.

Just being the first to use and passing out the idea to other Prowler owners will mark my legacy,,,,,,,= cheap

CTProwlerThin ones look good on my Candy!!!I just bought some more thin ones for my Blue. Now your telling me they look better thicker on Blues?? Oh great, there goes the $13 LOL!!!

------------------

ALLEY CATChuck - Just tack on another $30 to the next custom home you design,,,,,,,say its for the Chrome Grill Treatment System,,,,they will never know
DAVE FERRAROLarry- What size trim do you recommend for blue Kats if not 1/8"?
Thanks, Dave
Check will go out if I do install.
ALLEY CATDave - It's an individual opinion,,,,but the black and dark blue seem to stand out better with the medium or larger size moldings. JMO

Do a search of a JUST JP post, and look at his black cat = really nice with the larger size.

DAVE FERRAROAre you sure Just JP has a picture? I just did search and found nothing. Didn't he just post with question on install today?
or I am wrong?
Any other pictures with Alley cat system on dark car?
Thanks,
Dave
