Cal KidThis is worth reading: Tuesday, I thought I had a leaking water pump. Called the Prowler Tech and was told to bring it in and as I pulled into the service bay, my odometer turned 100,000 miles and the radiator blew.

The tech returned from parts and said Chrysler wanted $860.00 for a new radiator, but they had another source who only wanted $415.00. I ordered the less expensive one.

Today I went to pick up the Prowler and the tech was smiling from one ear to the other. The old radiator had a sticker that gave the manufacturer as "Valeo." The new radiator was also from "Valeo." Same part #; only $445.00 less. It also comes with a life-time warranty.

The part # is 732045. 1/800/Radiator. Identical to the old factory radiator.

I hope the Prowler gang can use this info.

George JohnsonCal Kid -
Thanks for the heads up information. It's good to know. The Prowlers are starting to get some age on them.
SuperDaveI picked up a spare OEM Chrysler radiator a few years ago, I'll sell it for $300 plus shipping. Please let me know if you need it!

Dave

PhatBoiI just bought one off Ebay for $150. It's been running great now for 2000 miles. There's no reason any OEM radiator should cost that much. $860.00 is a ripp-off!!! For all you know, they're getting the radiator from the same place as this guy on Ebay. There are only so many radiator manufacturers out there.

I bought mine from these guys. If you order by 3pm, you will get it at your doorstep by 8am the next morning I believe. Here's a link. Search Ebay for "Plymouth Prowler Radiator". Has a lifetime warranty.

While you're at it, replace the Thermostat. If you were any closer, I'd come over and do it for you. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

All the best.

PhatBoiHow radiators are made. It's only less than $20 worth of material, if that, and a few minutes of $20/hr labor. Everything else goes to the middle-man. They'rea all made the same. Been all made the same since cars were mass produced...lol.

catfishthe rad.brian is talking about has a aluminum core, not brass,so its not a exact replacement as stated.aluminum core rads do not last in prowlers, they eventually leak from the vibration..

catfishcalled and talked to 1-800-radiator.they stated they do not sell the a/m aluminum rads anymore due to ,to many returns and problems.
