thecatos | Has anyone replaced any of there tail-lights or side marker lights with after market LED replacements. If so how is it working out? ------------------ Back off man, I'm a scientist!! |
Dale Beaman | I was told they are hotter and be careful because they may damage the lens. I think someone posted about this happening but it was some time ago. |
KatAddict | I read a lot about these, the LED lights are stated to be much cooler ! |
ken736cc | I had led replacement bulbs in my side markers. They were very dim. I took them out and went back to stock. I have not yet found a led taillight that will work. |
CTProwler | I bought those blue back-up lights, they look kool in reverse!!!LOL They sell all colors. I did buy the Blueish Headlights they are brighter!!!No problems yet!! ------------------

BuddyBrad | The LED bulbs draw less current and do burn much cooler. The "hot" bulbs people were warning about (finally) were headlight replacement bulbs. I believe they were aftermarket halogen. In older cars, the turn signals stopped flashing if either the front or rear turn signal bulb stopped working. This is to alert the driver that a bulb is out and is sensed by low current draw. When putting LED bulbs in this type of design, the turn signal flasher has to be replaced with the same unit that the Emergency Flashers use (non-current sensitive). Who knows how the Prowler will behave to LED's? |
thecatos | Well I found a site that sells all kinds of LED replacements, so Ill give it a try, one at a time and let everyone know how it turns out.
