CJ | Don.........how far are you willing to go to get one? I received an email today from someone who is looking to sell their 2000 Yellow. It has 3700 miles and is in EXCELLENT condition. You can email me or call at 248.650.3321 for more info. They are here in Michigan. |
Kozican | CJ, Thanks I recieved the email as well. I guess they're not serious as I orig thought they were. Ive passed several "deals" on to them and I dont think they've investigated them yet.Koz |
Cobra40 | Howdy, I finally received my posting privlages. I sure appreciate all the effort ya'll have made to find my wife a yellow Prowler. I did not make contact on any of the cars, but I did take a serious look at my finances to see if there was anyway to do it. The timing was just too quick. I didn't think it would be this easy to find what we were looking for. I already have one toy ('03 Cobra), and finacially things would be uncomfortable having two toy and one daily driver notes. I would like nothing better than to get one these cars for my wife. She tricked me into going to a SVT on track event at TX Motor Speedway near Fort Worth for a driving school and to test drive one. I had no idea she had bought me the Cobra for my birthday and had it delivered up there for Ford to give it to me. What a great wife and present! To get a car like that, learn how to drive it, and immediately get it on track. WOW! I would love to do the same for her. I have some "real" art to sell. The art market is picking up, and if I can get some sold, I might could swing the deal. Can anyone spell E-B-A-Y? Again, thanks for all ya'lls help, maybe one day we will be enjoying a Prowler too. I know I enjoy the Cobra. I've met several of your members and enjoyed talking with them. Thanks Don. |

Kozican, I see you can talk smack. Ponies...how 'bout 400 HORSES on the ground! That's about 450 at the crank. Just by adding cat-back, K&N, and royal purple oil. Wait till I get the new K&N Aircharger, that's worth about another 15 at the wheels over the filter alone. Anything you do to one of these SC cars is amplified over a normally aspirated one. The only problem I have is small tires on the rear (275/35/17's). Wait till I get those 315's... If you can find me a "fixer-upper" like what you found, I'll be all over it. After all, I know a good fix'it guy. Find us one of those. Then Rashanna-danna will drive the "cute" one, and I'll come on out to show ya'll what a real muscle car is like. Later.

You know, I kept my mouth shut the other night at dinner koz I didnt want to embarass you in front of the rest of your herd......but none of them pony's can take me and Im STOCK. Sorry you've had to spend money to try! Come on Rashanna Dana.......lets show him! Pony-Up???? |
Cobra40 | Hey, it's nice to talk cars here, cause when we get together, the lady folk keep changing the subject. quote: Originally posted by Kozican: Oh, PLEASE!!!!! The One and Only time you raced me, you were looking at my TAIL LIGHTS!!!! From AFAR, I might add!! [QUOTE]WOW! I must have touched a nerve, or, you're just over compensating for being "small" in the horse power dept. What you say is true, but once I hooked up, I caught you REAL quick, still running for you life....no, you had not let up yet. Launching was all driver error. (I like the twisties. No experience with the 1/4 mile) In reality, drivers being equal, our two cars are in different classes. But all kidding aside, 253 hp is nothing to sneeze at. In a slightly warmed over Mustang GT, that's worth low 13's. BOW, what do Prowlers run stock? I realize that your HP to weight ratio gives you some edge (03 verts=3600 lbs & avg 380 rwHP stock), along with the fact that if you can't spin your wheels, and with an automatic, you can just mash the gas. No skill there. Stock '03 Cobras run high to mid 12's. I know. It seems kinda slow. In stock trim, we actually have enough ponies to light'em up. So we have to keep our launch RPM's down and feather the cluch to get a good launch. Takes some skill, but again, two different cars. In actuallity, I LOVE Prowlers. The styling is excellent. The "image" they portray, is really cool (no matter who is driving), and, the performance is really good. Yea, right! You kept your mouth shut, cause you knew better. Everyone there had much more 1320 experience than me. Anyone of them could take a stocker, and leave you with no doubt what the differences are between our choices of cars. Notice I'm not afraid to go outside my element...next time, speak up. There is confidence in the truth. Cause when you know it, there's no need to prove it. quote: Originally posted by Kozican: Sorry you've had to spend money to try! Mod'ing the stang is part of the hobby. A new pulley, cat back exhaust, CAI, and a tuner chip will get you real close to 500 rwHP. However, I like my warrenty too much to do that. There are '03s out there with over 600 rwHP with mere bolt-ons. Anyway, see you later. |
meancat | WOW! Dose someone sound a little bitter they bought a Cobra? ------------------
|
Kozican | MC, yeah...he has "buyers remorse" Koz-I-Beat him! HANDS DOWN!!! |
CJ | Don, The yellow one here in Lansing is still for sale. Originally, he thought there was 3700 miles on it when it actually has 3400 miles on it. I think he is asking $36,000 for it. We looked at the car for someone else and it is in EXCELLENT condition. |
Ray | Don't know how you would find it, but spoke with a guy here in IL that had just picked up a '99 yellow with 1,700 on the clock for $31,500.00 he said ... taking "it back to Wisconsin" for resale was my impression ... looked nice from what I briefly saw. Might be a $35,000 car for his effort. Godd luck ... yellow ROCKS |
Cobra40 | Has anyone checked out the salvage title on e-bay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6414&item=2479583441&rd=1 Kozican, I'll deal with you later... |
