Since I bought my Prowler, I have been to the Chrysler's at Carlisle at least three years. There is a lot to see and there is no sign that the participation is dwindling, in fact it seems to get bigger each year. The folks that put on the events seem to have it fairly well organized which makes for a good time by all. This year I am anticipating about a Dozen or so Prowlers in attendance. If you have other older Mopar vehicles, this is a great place to seek out your "want list" items. Bring lots of sun screen, comfortable shoes, some folding chairs (if you enter the car) and lots of energy. If you are entering your car it will enable you to drive onto the fairgrounds and obtain a good parking space. There are many advantages to entering your car. In addition to the great parking space, you can bring a cooler with you and avoid the long lines at the food vendors. You won't need to worry about finding acceptable parking outside the fairgrounds then walking, waiting in line, walking some more, before getting where you need to go. If you are buying parts, you don't need to exit the fairgrounds to put the parts in your car. The entry fee covers the car, driver, and one guest for the entire weekend. If you are planning on attending for one day or all weekend, entering the car is a small price to pay for the benefits you receive. It is nice to have a "Home Base" while at Carlisle where you can visit with other Prowler owners and relax in the shade under a tent, this makes the day more enjoyable, in the evening many will get together and go out for dinner then do it all again the next day. This year we are looking forward seeing to Trey's 6.1 SRT Kat. I Highly recommend the trip to Carlisle See you then!Dale Beaman Thinking about going to MOPAR week at Carlisle next weekend. Is it worth the trip and what can I expect? Mr.Mcgoo Really enjoy the weekend, good crowd of prowler owners and Trey's hemi prowler will be on display. Lots of really nice cars on display.... tangled up in BLUE ...I've been going the last few years, one of the best shows EVER...Mr. Ed and I will be there in my red 09 SRT Challenger...staying at the Hampton in Carlisle...hope to see ya there Dave Mills I have been going since the first year when there were only three rows of venders, over 20 years. I never miss it. One of my favorites. alrtg In my youth I would go to the Hershey PA events with my Dad prior to the Carlisle events. Since the Carlisle events have started, I have been to a few here and there but nothing on a regular basis. SuperKat KatDaddy and I have been going for a number of years.
It's by far thw bset show we attend. It takes us two days going thru vendors and parts before we even see the cars.Dale Beaman Thanks everyone for the replies. I plan on being there and will look for you. I will be driving a Scion xB so I guess we will be fighting the crowds getting in. garysss I've been there 2-3 times and park outside. I've never had a problem finding a parking spot a short distance from gate and have never waited in a line to get in. I usually only go for a few hours one day, so it's not worth it for me to pay to park inside and it gives my rich Prowler friends something to talk about how cheap I'am.
