------------------ Figure 019-305 Tie Rod Ends Part number 4897 860AA is the TIE ROD, Steering The same number is listed in both illustrations and there appears to be no "Inner" Tie Rod End, only Outer Tie Rods but they are referred to only as a Tie Rod. With this in mind, there are two vendors currently offering this part on E-Bay. The first one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Chrysler-Prowler-Tie-Rod-End-4897860AA-/263025412705?epid=84078663&hash=item3d3d894a61:i:263025412705&vxp=mtr has a "Buy it Now" price of $106.63 each including free shipping from Dallas Texas, and claims to have four available at the moment. The second one http://www.ebay.com/itm/steering-tie-rod-end-prowler-plymouth-chrysler-all-years-/302384224629?hash=item4667811975:g:g~IAAOSw3ydV6Y4D&vxp=mtr has a starting bid of $150.00 plus shipping of $13.91 from Troy Michigan but does not show a quantity above the one currently offered. This auction ends in two days. Both appear to be the Tie Rod by looking at the illustration on one and the part number on the other. The first seller has a 97.8% Positive feedback score with 88 sales while the second has a 100% Positive feedback score with 658 sales. Either one might meet your needs if I understand your post correctly. ivegotsugar I had my driver side inner tie rod replaced back in Aug 09 ... {Oops I've corrected the Phone #} Thanks Mickey ! It was rough trying to find just the inner tie rod since it shows that you have to replace the whole steering rack .
However Don Ward ( 832) 717 - 4977),was able to find a part to fit and so far so good .
Here is the info ... Mopar Steering Tie Rod part # MR519046
This part came from an 01 - 05 2 door Stratus
Cost for part $72.20

Gary, just curious, which brand did you order?NiteProwl64 I have always had good luck with Napa's Master Ride series... ES3607 is the number. $34.00 and works like a charm. Just saying. robin http://www.moparamerica.com/chrysler/prowler/4897860aa/2001-year/base-trim/3-5l-v6-gas-engine/steering-cat/steering-gear-and-linkage-scat/?part_name=outer-tie-rod Richnew41 I ordered the Febest as I've been impressed by there quality with other parts.... I will report back on them once received GaryE Sorry to say I am back where I started. I ordered the Febest MR519046 replacement. The quality is fine but have two problems to overcome. There is not enough threads on the adjustment end of the replacement. That can be fixed by turning some more threads on the shaft. The second problem is a little more difficult to solve as the threaded end that screws into the steering box is to long. So, I am back looking to see what be out there to solve the problem. Mopar has discontinued the part. Next I am going to check out the Napa. padroo Gary, will this help?
http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/023022.html ed monahan I would bet Dick Linnemann could take care of both problems in short order. MDProwler Pm sent Gary
