2kprowlerNewbie, recently registered and I am having some of the same issues which have plagued other Prowler owners. I could use some help?

I noticed a few ideas on how to repair the window regulator. Any recommendations on which one has been the most successful? I just pulled out my broken driver side today. I would also like to order a spare. Are they still hard to come by? Also, Is there a dealer or contact that is reasonable regarding Prowler parts pricing? Thank You

2kprowlerTHANKS for the quick response. I just looked and the break on my regulator is on the rear side where the cable jacket and elbow meet. I'll get the supplies and give it a try. Thanks again!
Gary C Kraut went above and beyond the call of duty for this repair and documentation.

I forgot to say Welcome to the POA and you are more than welcome.
Jim SWelcome 2k.

Follow Krauts repair that Gary provided the link to. You will not have any problems after that.

catfishjuat a tip as you are a newbie.this is a tech post and belongs in that section-welcome.

ed monahan2K, welcome to the POA. Kraut knows his stuff. His repair will have you all fixed up in no time.
This site is invaluable to Prowler owners due to issues such as this.
wallygator310JJProwler and I have come up with another way to fix the window regulator and after countless up and down cycles in the past 2 months the fix is holding very well. It costs about $5 to do and takes under 1 hour which includes taking the door panel off and getting the window out and the regulator out, fixed, and all put back in. Want to know how???....well you'll just have to wait till the weekend so I can take the pictures and post it here. The problem in the past has been where the break occurred. Mine broke at the 90* elbow and not in the middle of the tubing which makes it harder to use the Kraut fix with the clamps. The clamps compared with our method is very time consuming and may not hold as well with the breaks at the elbow. Have I got your attention yet? See you this weekend!

toysLooking forward to any new fixes.

2kprowlerThanks for the information and the welcomes. I picked up the parts today and followed Krauts fix...I just re-installed the regulator and put in glass. It works great..

Looking forward to your post

dbudnerI'm looking forward to the pictures as well. My break was at the elbow with some cracks in between. I used Krauts method along with adding some fiberglass wall tape strands at the elbow. It is holding up just fine so far. Just be sure to rough up the areas extremely well where you use the epoxy.
