1st Prowler	OK, after loosing (2) mud flaps on the passengers side (completely tearing off the bolts along with the mud flap) I need to know exactly what I need to replace, to keep the Prowler from bottoming out, at large chuck holes & where the road meets or changes at a bridge on the highway and tearing off the mud flaps???? car has 26,000 miles on it & the original suspension still intact.......any suggestions that will help me get to the "bottom" of this is appreciated! BeWare	There are two things that you can do. Adjust the fenders and/or trim the mud flaps. 1st Prowler	I was unaware that you could adjust the fenders & I do use the "short" version of mud flaps.........how the heck, does one "adjust" the fenders anyway??? jimsutton	I ripped mine off two times also . I cut off 2" off the oem flaps then used 3 - 1/4" pan head stainless screws and lock nuts drilled and bolted them to the fender they look good and no one knows the difference .. been on for 5 Years now ..

RPL	Larry Lord has sold the splash guard brackets to repair the fenders and Tom Mills, Jefferson Auto sells a replacement front splash guard that is shorter than stock.
Richard Gales	I actually did the same thing that Jim Sutton did. Drilled 3 holes through the fender. I lost several mud flaps. Never lost another.
Richnew41	I recommend Tom Mills, Jefferson Auto mud flaps... They are fantastic.. You can't tell them from the OEM originals yet they are short enough to never give you an issue... Pure Genius in my book...
BeWare	I am not saying its a bad idea to drill holes in the fender to mount the flaps, but a word of caution. If you back up through a pot hole or over a speed bump etc. the flap can get pinched against the tire. The weakest link will then break. If the fender is drilled and flap is bolted to the fender it could damage the fender. It has even happened to others with the stock mud flap brackets. I believe that the chances of fender damage would increase if drilled and bolted to the fender. MellowYellow	Hey, I kind of like that saw-tooth pattern on Ol' Yeller there! Yes, that's my Cat, and it wasn't a mud flap issue. She lost a little bit of her dignity by sitting too close to a fence, and then picking a fight with it! She thought she was tough, and would you believe when you turn the steering wheel, that damn fender reached out and the fence ripped her a new one.....funny thing is if 100 people see this Cat, 101 tell me to "do the other side" to match....SMH
