392HEMIFor the 4th. of July, the meaning of the folds in our beloved American Flag.

1st. Fold, is a symbol of life.
2nd. Fold, is a symbol of our belief in eternal life.
3rd. Fold, is made in honor and rememberance of the Veterans departing our ranks, who left home and family in defense of our country to bring peace to the world.
4th. fold, is a symbol of our weaker nature; as Americans we trust in God, and it is to him we turn in times of war as well as in times of peace for his devine guidance.
5th. Fold, is a tribute to our country; in dealings with other countries, may we always strive to do the right thing, but right or wrong, this IS still OUR country.
6th. Fold, represents where our hearts are; with our hearts we pledge allegiance to our flag and uphold all for which it stands for.
7th. Fold, is a tribute to our armed forces.
8th. Fold, is a tribute for those that have gone before us to the valley of the shadow of death that we might see the light of day.
9th. Fold, is a tribute to womanhood and mothers; it is through their faith, love, loyality and devotion that the character of the men and women have been molded who have made this country great.
10th. Fold, is a tribute to fathers for giving their sons and daughters for the defense of our country.
11th. Fold, represents the lower portion of King David and King Solomon, glorifying the God of Abramham, Issac and Jacob in the eyes of the Hebrews.
12th.Fold, represents an emblem of eternity and in the christians eyes glorifies God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
When the flag is completely folded and the stars are uppermost, the 13th. Fold, reminds us of our nation's motto, "In God We Trust"
