Even though I "retired" from hosting extra curricular activities in conjunction with the Dream Cruise starting last year, we still had a great time cruising and hanging out with our Prowler friends. This will be year 17 of Prowlers cruisin' down Woodward Avenue. I have blocked some rooms at our host hotel again this year The dates for the event are Wednesday, August 13 - Sunday, August 17, 2014. The actual Dream Cruise is held on Saturday, August 16, but as everyone knows, cruising is a happening thing all week!!! Some folks arrive as early as Wednesday, but you don't have to be here that early. I blocked 5 rooms for Wednesday and Thursday, and 10 for Friday and Saturday. If I need more, I can get them, but keep in mind that rooms for this event go quickly and early in the year. So......if you plan on attending the Dream Cruise this year, you can book your rooms now! Anyone who stayed there will tell you the hotel is awesome......including me!!! This is the best place we have stayed for Dream Cruise! HOTEL INFORMATION The Hyatt is easily accessible from the Interstates. There is a wide variety of restaurants, gas stations, etc. Parking at the hotel will be roped off for us again. Outside water connection is available for washing cars. There are two room options. You can reserve either a King room (which includes a sleeper sofa bed) or a Double Full room (which includes a sleeper sofa) Call the hotel at 248.475.9393 option 0. You must mention the POA Prowler Owners Association block and the code input number is G-POPR. If they are busy or are having trouble making a reservation (new staff), ask for Brandi Street in group sales and speak to her directly. The room rate is $99.00 plus tax per room per night. For more information on the hotel, go to This message has been edited by CJ on 06-05-2014 at 03:19 PM Kellie was offered a job in California and took it! I will miss her, but Brandi will do just fine!! I received an email from my contact at Chrysler who has provided us with the parking at Woodward Dream Cruise for many years. Unfortunately, he informed me that Chrysler has changed their plans and will not be using any of the property at the high school that they have used for this parking. So......we will not have our parking this year. I apologize, as this was an important part of attending the cruise. Of course, you will be able to cruise to your heart's content and find parking on your own. I have someone else to talk to that might be able to help us, but I'm not counting on it. I will update all of you on this later. We can still gather at the hotel and cruise together to Woodward Avenue and hang out at the hotel in the evenings. Looking forward to seeing everyone!!! I know the Chrysler parking issue is as disapointing to you as it is to us all.
However, parking facilities were one of the things that influenced me to book this year (I've always avoided Woodward based on stories of parking difficulties).
Hopefully something can be resolved.
I have faith in you.ed monahan Brandi is off on Mondays. I will try to remember to make a reservation tomorrow. RJGR0713 WRONG THREAD. tangled up in BLUE ...while the parking lot was very handy, don't let the lack of it keep you from attending, it is easy to find places to park all up and down Woodward, even at 13 Mile Road, just be patient tangled up in BLUE TBOSCO...ran into the same thing with reservations, I'm surprised they have anyone staying there, nearly impossible to get a room reservation...I too called 3-4 different times on 2 days, no one could book anything...I finally asked one lady why they had people working at the desk, she was speechless, but still couldn't make me a reservation CJ Larry.......they sent me a report today and have you as booked. ed monahan I am booked and Ms. Street couldn't be any more helpful. Very nice and pleasant young lady.

RPL Well, it's off to the hotel to catch up with owners from out of town for a little dinner then cruisin' on Woodward. I enjoy the cruising the nights leading up to the actual event much better than Saturday. The rain Monday and Tuesday nights may make it busier this year. Hopefully the police won't shut it down too early tonight. RPL Great night having dinner with Prowler friends and then cruising on Woodward until after 10:00. About 10:30 they started shutting down the south bound side in Royal Oak. Seemed like a much young crowd watching from the curbs.
