Tom Santella | I would like mine blacked out if I can get away with it. ------------------ BackinBlack |
CTProwler | Paint them Blue to match the Car. Tom --Your kat is black, what do you want a stealth prowler!!! ------------------
|
ALLEY CAT | Blue - I think you will be all right with the painted lenses, as long as the red color comes through when the bulb is on,,JMO. |
BeWare | I have heard if you use red bulbs they will be just as bright as before you painted the lenses |
catfish | i wouldnt use red bulbs here's why.prowler bulbs are very close to the lens.red bulbs get hotter than clear.i tried red on mine and it melted the lens to the point where it got so hot it cracked.then when it rained, water got in the housing.had to buy 2 new tailights about 160.00.something you might try.all the newer cars have gone to led bulbs.pep boys has a replacement, in clear for our original ones.looks like there about 8 to 10 leds in the replacement bulb, might be brighter.they plug right into our sockets. ------------------

01BLUE | The stock bulb works great I thought of led but the are very directional and the way the bulbs mount it points up not out , when lit up I can hardly tell they are painted I did the 3rd brake light and the other lamp today , all installed I love the "stealth look " |
Tom Santella | I like it. I wanna go stealth!! ------------------ BackinBlack |

I thought about trying to buy your pan, but I can't tell if it would work with a factory hitch. |
