ed monahanActually I have been told that mine has been airborne. You cannot feel it in the car but it does bounce around if it is empty.
Mike Filesthanks Ed
FreeorDie2Mike. . . I picked mine up towing with my Durango. It very much went airborn at one point when I hit a good sized bump. I'd recommend putting some weight in it.

Bill

Mike Filesthanks will put 50 or 100 lbs in it
Steve ConleyMaybe if you just let some air out of the tires, that would soften it up just enough. I know with mine you can just see the top edge. And like they say you don't even know it's there. Steve
Dave Mills350 miles....I would either make sure it has the Larry Lord latch repair kit or carry some straps in case the latch breaks. It has happened to a number of us.
KansasKittyThe first time I pulled mine any distance all I had in it was an ice chest with a 12 pack of Rolling Rock in it. It is the first time I ever saw bottles that were almost empty with the caps still intact on the bottles. There was one can of Coke in it too and the can actually rubbed against a bottle until it wore a hole in it and all the Coke leaked out. What a mess! To make a long story short, yes, it bounces a lot! I always make sure I have 100+ lbs in it when I do pull it.
cnote6Yes add what you can, I have been on long trips and the trailer needs 100 plus. for a trip.
JCProwlerPut in a spare tire!
Dave MillsI just carry a can of fix-a-flat for the trailer.
Mike Filesi left the dealership where i bought it and I could see it was going to be bouncing so I went by home depot and bought 4 bags of playground sand and wraped them in a garbage bag, trailer rode great

I had thought about adding a spare tire but you would also have to add a jack, guess it I just call AAA if I get a flat

Thanks for the comments

I carry a small floor jack, but no spare.....you can get them for $20~$30 dollars and have seen some in a case. Never know when you or someone else might need it.

I have been on roads so rough I thought I had a flat tire it was bouncing so bad and it was full of stuff, I'm sure well over 200lbs

keep the bra on it, get the Larry Lord trailer products as Dave Mills suggested and you might want to include the matching locks and trailer stand

Congradulations on your new purchase

CJCongratulations on your new acquisition..........I find that the trailer tows better fully loaded!
