catfish | if you need to replace a bulb, look at it real close before you buy.its a 3157,problem is there are 2 kinds of 3157s.the one that wont work, when you look at it has only 4 vertical filaments.the correct one has 5 when you look at it.better yet take the old bulb with and look at closely,or you will end up with wrong bulb.mine was dark at the top, but not burned out yet, grabbed a 3157,put it in and it wouldnt lite up.only had 4 filaments.to remove bulb just remove 2 screws at bottom of tailight, its so easy a caveman can do it. ------------------

David Veu Casovic | Thank you for the info. |
wallygator310 | Again the Catfish strikes! With all you rknowledge on the Kats, I'm afraid you learned it all from having to fix and replace and that is something I hope not to have to do for years to come. But if I do, your experience and knowledge is a Godsend. Wally |

nitrosteve | Kudos to the catman. |
catfish | actually discovered this by accident.original bulb was dark at top,so i went to get a 3157 out of my bag of bulbs.put in and it wouldnt work.put in another one,no work.pulled that one out and noticed, one had 4 wires and original bulb had 5,even though they were the same number stamped on bulb.put old one in temporarily.auto zone didnt have the one with 5 wires,so when i go to napa and ask, this should be interesting. ------------------
