This message has been edited by Zack on 07-24-2006 at 03:32 AM Here's a shot of how the original body panel from Prowler Products by Gary was modified to work with the OEM hitch. I'm glad to hear that Gary is gonna offer the mod....he was really interested in how we got it to fit....it appears that there it may be a popular item.walter lechman Hi u all, Need to know if you can use any of the belly pans that cover the back of prowler with trailer hitch installed???do all pans work?Like to get a full pan but don't know if there is or going to be a problem with the hitch being there. Thanks a new Prowler owner and a cottonpicker from N.Alabama ,PS. Open the Real Rod link and click on "bumperless mods". You will see 2 versions which work with a hitch. I have the retro rear pan on mine with a trailer hitch. Fit is perfect and quality of part is awesome. Absolutely no clearance problems with the hitch. ed monahan I know Wayne Finch also has a belly pan and hitch but I do not know which one or if he had it modified. Hopefully he will see this thread. Richard Jackson Tom Mills is working on a new belly pan with a hitch that he supplies. Ken & Roslin Romain The Mini Belly Pan made by Products by Gary can be modified without much problem to fit a trailer hitch. It allows you to keep your rear bumpers on. I've done it, and I know several other people have as well. I can take a picture if you want. Ken (OC PRWLR) Steven R. Gary Have Real Rods Chrome trans cover along with trailer hitch and weekender. Everything fits like a glove. No problems for over three years. galaxie Ken, I would to get the mini belly pan for the Prowler. I have a hitch installed for the weekender. Would you please take a picture of yours. Thanks Tom Mills My rear panels are done and ready now and the hitch should be ready soon prowlrman Tom, Tom Mills We designed a hitch that fits the panel and mounts on the frame in the same holes as the factory hitch. The receiver extends out of the panel just below the license pocket. I will have pictures as soon as the hitch is ready. Ken & Roslin Romain Walter, If you go back to the 3rd page of listings on this forum and look for "Show Me Your Rear End" Zack has a picture of Gary's Mini Pan with a trailer hitch, on his Black Prowler. Ken (OC PRWLR) ed monahan Here is that thread.
http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/014949.html Zack I've sold my car and a seperate owner has agreed to buy my modified mini-roll. I have the specs on how much was trimmed off and can send you some pics and more info if you like....just e-mail me. Zack Ken & Roslin Romain Zack, I cut my mini pan out as you did, and it didn't fit that easily. it did take a bit more trimming. Gary E even met me at the Chrysler dealer to take a look. I will be taking mine off soon to make a proper templet, which Gary will have. It's not that big of a deal, and it does look good. Ken, (OC PRWLR) Zack My body shop guy did the measuring and fitting....he must have done a good job at guessing, because it fit the first time he made the cuts....and he was cutting on an already painted roll pan. I got the hitch after I already had the roll pan on.
