On our Prowler & Viper cruise this pass Saturday, we took the scenic drive from Convigton to Manchac, LA. Well, we had to go through Ponchatoula, LA... The 25 or so Prowlers & Vipers had to make a left turn from Hwy. 22 onto Hwy 51. I was leading the pack & there was a lot of traffic. We only got three cars through the first light. Well, along comes a motorcycle cop. He sees this string of multi-colored Kats & Snakes and he decides to block the intersection & lets the whole caravan through... Now, this was unexpected, unplanned & really appreciated... A big THANK YOU to the Ponchatoula Police Department... Just goes to show you - nice things can happen when you're driving Prowlers & Vipers in a caravan.... ------------------ |

What do you think about all of us getting funeral flags to put on the cars so that we can run lights and stay together? It would probably work better than the radios! Just a thought! |

Being a 23 year veteran Sheriff's Deputy, it's good to see your appreciation of a job well done. There are still a lot of us in the Law Enforcement business that believe in the old line "To Protect and Serve". It looks to me like that officer was providing excellent service. Good Job! Like in any profession, it only takes a couple to screw things up. Unfortunately, its those that bring us the bad press. But the good new is there are many good folks doing the right thing, and some of us own PROWLERS! ------------------ |

quote: Ed, as part of the walking dead crowd, I can see your point. Most people really wouldn't know the difference with you anyway, flag or no flag. You should include those in your traveling wares. |

Now, that is something you don't see everyday. Even with the 30+ corvettes on the Hooters cruise back in July 14, 3 motorcycles police passed us and didn't do a thing.
