Ok, I have it nailed down to two Kats. 1) 2000, Yellow, 4k miles, limited addtion (not sure why) tinted windows, mud flaps, Swears that its mint. Airfair to get the car is $60. No extended warranty. Price: $35k 2) 2001, Burnt Orange, 7k miles, airfair is $130... They are also throwing in free mudflaps. Whick one is the better deal? I dont think that the Yellow is limited adition. Yellow is my first choice and The Burnt Orange is growing on me.. I like it. Any advice? I'm leaning towards the 2001 because of a longer warranty. Thanks! Shawn |

Hi Shawn, you didn't mention price of 2001, but if numbers are relatively equal, go with personal preference. Don't let a couple of bucks keep you from what you really want. |

Opps, I talked the dealer down to $34.5k. If I bought the 2000 Yellow I would have to spend another $1,100 for the extended warr. |

Actually, the Orange sounds like a better deal, if it's strictly a matter of price -- $34.5k vs. $36.1k for the same warrantee period. The difference in air fare is less than the price of a set of mud flaps (front & rear). But don't go by price alone. Get what you'll be happy with (or what you think will make the chicks drool). Orange works for me. Tarzan |

Shawn, Like you have said, Yellow is your 1st choice. I think the color is more important to you cause you will have to live with it. Yes, you may have to spend a little extra for the warranty. The issue here is that make sure you know what you want. Warranty will eventually runs out. Not the Prowler. I like yellow myself. It will be the color of my next Prowler in the near future. Well, as soon as I can find more room...Good luck Remember, the warranty is not the only thing you will spend after you purchase the car. The mods will be next and they have broken all of our wallets...Scarry thought ------------------ |

Don't do anything with the warranty until you talk to David Caroon, at Causeway Chrysler in Louisiana, (a great connection Laddie made long ago) he can make the warranty thing simple, quick and I believe as inexpensive as possible. |

Definitely go with the color you like best, no question about it. Go with your instinct on this one. That way you'll never be able to say "I wished I would have..." |

Hey Prowlerbabe, are there any groups in our area? I'm in Tampa, I think it would be cool to drive with a bunch of other Kats. Like I said, I'm picking it up on Tues. But I'm driving up to MN (my home state) and spending 3 weeks and then heading back. So any time after Spet. 21 would be fun with me... |
