Brian Hey, sorry I couldnt make it... that work thing gets in the way sometimes. I went to the auction Fri and Sat nights. My buddies boss is the guy that bought.... The 300SL Gulwing $280k, the Wild Gold hotrod in your photos $91k, the blue 39' chevy custom $62k, the purple custom in your pics$50+K, the white series 1 XKE $45k and the 41' Harley $15k.... He spent $$$ He also bid on several other cars... only to decide not to go as high as they went. He is a great guy too. I can go to his warehouse pretty much anytime to check them out... he has lots of goodies in there.... It's better then Disney!!! No Prowlers though.... I showed him mine when I got it and he liked it... but never got one. Sorry I missed you guys. I had fun when I went though.. I heard I was on TV a couple times on Fri night too... pretty cool. Wish I had the dough to bid on some of the great cars! Take care Frank

I heard the prices were low in the B/J Calif. auction. They must have bled out all the big cash buyers in Scottsdale during January? |

There was one black 1999 black Prowler uo for auction. All the chrome wheels were pitted very bad. I'll be interested to see what it went for? As far as prices being low.... I heard the east coast is always less than out west. I know a few people that send there cars out west where they can get more money for the cars. ------------------ |

Speaking of auctions, they told me at the dealer's last week that an orange cat went thru the local auction and brought $29,200, wholesale! I don't know how many miles or condition. |

I was dissapoionted in B-J for several reasons. The PRIME cars are always on Sat., when there was NO coverage. Friday's show was pathetic...I was waiting for a 73 Pinto to come rolling out next. Sunday's 3 hour telecast limped out with yet more Old Bravados and minivans.....(Ooooh look a Buick LaSabre that you can't drive on the street!...Oooh look an experimental minivan ...experimental means they put vinyl graphics on the side.) There should be NO minivans or SUV's at B-J...EVER. SOME GOOD POINTS: I flipped when that 73 conv. Jag went for about 30K...some great deals. ...Some drop dead gorgeous custom rods were sold. Laughed my *** off when after hearing 3 days of girly bidder screaming...I finally see it was a man who screamed like that! Annnd finally....Ya gotta love a guy named Spanky Assiter. |

You've all heard it... just another day in Paradise!!! Anyway, it was GREAT DAY in Paradise for the 18 Prowlers who participated in this Annual Barrett-Jackson Event. Simply, FUN, FUN, FUN!!! THANKS to all the Florida Cat Pack Members who participated. Also I just learned there was a "flash" of the Prowlers on the Speed Channel Saturday, so I guess you can say we got some television coverage. I sure the event will rerun later so be looking for it. For those Florida Cat Pack Members that were unable to participate, don't forget the Boynton Beach Wheels Weekend in April and the "fabulous" Prowlin' the Keys in May. THANKS again for everyone's support and participation this past weekend. FYI... there were 18 Cats and 10 Vipers displayed!!! Best wishes, Jay |
