If anyone has a groundhog around town, the rest of us would appreciate it if you held an umbrella over him so he won't see his shadow today. I know I'm not alone when I say spring can't come soon enough! Too many Kats in hibernation this time of year! All we've got in Oklahoma is prarie dogs...no groundhogs. So it's up to you Northerners to take care of this! If I have to put up with 6 more weeks of winter, I don't have to tell you what I'm gonna do next time I see a groundhog crossing the street... Not a chance. We got Robin's out the kazoo here already, and the grass is already starting to grow again. |

We don't have Groundhogs here in Denver. Our standard is our dog Thornton (Jack's Mom). She did not see her shadow...looks like six more weeks of Winter here . |

I am envious of Marty. He lives 100 miles away from me and drives his everyday all year around. Mine has been in it's bubble since before Thanksgiving and will be there until Easter....but it will be like a new car to me when I get it out. I go through this every year at this time. |

Zack.......I didn't say I wasn't anxious for spring (and then we have to wait for all the rain to wash the salt off the roads).......I'm just saying that Mother Nature will make the decision when Spring arrives and, unfortunately, it's one thing I CAN'T do anything about!! |

AC--Stop bragging about how warm it is out there in Phoenix! You guys are a bunch of whimps! It got down to about 40' during the 4th quarter of the Jets-- Cards game in NOV and most of you were gone because you were cold! Did you hear of the guy who volunteered to shovel snow from Eagles Stadium before the NFC Championship game? He shoveled for 30 Hours without Gloves! He then found out because he shoveled he would be able to watch the game from the sidelines! He stood out another 4 hours watching the game. After the game his right hand was bleeding so bad he had to go to the hospital. The doctor told him he had severe frostbite. He lost the tips of 4 fingers! What was that guy thinking! He said he lost feeling in his hands while shoveling but he was such a avid Eagles fan he just schrugged it off! His hands were hurting but he didn't want to miss seeing the game. Now that's a FAN!!!! He's way out of my league! I wouldn't want to loose the tips of 4 fingers even for a Million $$$$$ OR JETS SUPER BOWL TIX! 50 yard line 1st row! ------------------ This message has been edited by CTProwler on 02-04-2005 at 08:50 AM |

AC- I am a former chairman of the PGA event here in Greensboro and back in the late '80s and early '90s I went to the Pheonix Open several times. Always had a blast. Most years it has been Superbowl weekend. I was treated like royalty by the Thunderbirds, stayed on property at the Princess and LOVED going to the Bird's Nest. ------------------ |
