Many thanks to those that offered to help in getting a trailer from Louisiana to Massachusetts... All the connections were not completed, and although Scott offered help with his trucking company, too many things needed to fall into place. The trailer was shipped via Fedex 3 day ground and arrived thursday. Again I can't thank the members of POA enough for the willingness to help. Joe... This is one of my areas of expertise, and I'd be happy to help. I happen to know that if you connect the trailer to something called a "trailer hitch", you can hook it right up and tow it anywhere you want - even Massachusetts. Glad I could help. Good luck with that.

Hey Ransom... If I grew up I'd have to sell my Prowler and the rest of my "toys". Ain't gonna happen. And, as I always say, it's far better to be a smart *** than a dumb *** . But you be sure to have yerself a nice day there, okey dokey? P.S. Nice sense of humor there Ransom... This message has been edited by BuckNekkid on 05-03-2005 at 03:39 PM |

JK, an alternative is UPS. I had my trailer shipped from Ontrio California to Rockville Maryland. It was crated and only cost $450 from west coast to east coast and arrived without a scratch! Jeff |

Hey Buck .. you mean I need a hitch for the trailer ?? Never woulda guessed ! I would love to be able to attach the trailer to this thing you call a "hitch" and drive it home, but not gonna happen.. 2 reasons, no time, no hitch (yet) Ransom.. Thanks .. yes I am looking for a serious response, although Buck has a point about growing up... Bob, I like the idea of Trailer Tag ..... And appreciate the offers that have come in... if this looks like something that could happen in the near future, I would be very grateful, although I would not want to place this burden on everyone.. SirReal... did UPS crate it for you ? How long did it take ? Thanks to everyone.... This is truely a family... and remember every family has a smart ***, and for this thread it's Buck .. Kiddin' nekkid !! Joe This message has been edited by jkprowlin on 05-03-2005 at 04:16 PM |

There may be a few folks from La. going on the Hot Rod run to Florida, and there may be some northeastern folks coming down on the Hot Rod Tour to Florida or close by. Trailer Tag from La to there then the Northeastern folks could bring it up your way on their return. So, You may wish to visit the Hot Rod tour schedule event, and look ove the list of Owners signed up and their home locations. Good Luck.. |

I someone gets it to Orlando for Power Tour, I'll haul it to Louisville or possibly drop it off in Atlanta to Rich Ware and then to ??? I won't be taking my trailer with me on PT (it may slow down the "fun" factor while cruising! |

I live in Western Massachusetts just outside of Springfield. I have no problem in picking up the trailer in CT and towing it the rest of the way to Haverhill. Gives me an excuse to visit my relatives there and in Andover. Greg |

Wow. In less than 5 hours since Bob's suggestion to play "trailer tag", it looks like most of the legs are in place to get Joe's new trailer to him. You guys are awesome. I'm proud to be a member of this community |

Tell you what, If you can get it into Ohio (even to Monahan's) I'll be glad to pick it up & take it through Pennsylvania. We can use the bra from our trailer. Email me if this will work. Hey BlackAMX, my step daughter & her husband just moved from Baltimore, Md to East Longmeadow, Ma. We will look you up this summer. Our hope is to drive the Kat & trailer up there. If any help is needed in the New Jersey leg, I can help. The trailer would be towed by my pickup, not the prowler, shouldn't be a problem, should it? If theres no problem using a truck to tow it....then count me in for help. MDProwler is good from Wash, DC to Jersey, Im good from Jersey to ?????? |

This group never ceases to amaze me !!!!! Looks like its time to break out the map and see how the legs are fitting together... I am still looking at shipping methods, however "trailer tag" is looking like a very viable option.. Many many thanks to everyone that has offered to help. I will let you all know how this ends up... jk - as a suggestion why don't you edit your first post with names and legs so everyone can see where the gaps are? If Ed W wil take it from Cincinati to Pennsylvania- I'll drop it off at Ed Monohans instaed of Rich Wares in Atlanta if that route works out best. Looks like you need someone to get it to me in Orlando, then I wikl take it to either Atlanta and rich witll tek it??? on an Easrern Seaboard route or I can haul to Cincinatti, drop off to Ed Monohan who can then hand off to Ed W for trip to Pennsylvania, then????? |

Where will the trailer need to be picked up in Louisiana??? I might be able to tow it from Louisiana to Florida.. JK.. Wish I would have known there were some prowler folks in Haverhill. I spent quite a bit of last year up there. Marty, you want to take it in Tallahassee? It'll look much better behind a prowler than the SSR on the tour.
