![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ok, I read the post about no front plate, but what about no bumpers? I see many of you have removed them. Don't any of you get hasseled about that? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() S/Vette - hasseled about what? Police or insurance? They are of no real damage protection,,,infact, they will increase the damage estimate if wrecked. Bumpers are expensive and most insurance companies would probably wish not to buy them anyway. I've only heard of California wanting bumpers on,,,,,but most of our CA cats have removed them. No apparent problems. ------------------

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Before I bought the car I called my insurance company and asked because the original owner had removed the front bumpers. Also, according to an attorney I talked with the owned a street rod, in Kentucky the laws regarding bumpers apply to manufacturers and dealers. There are so many street rod without bumpers in this state, it would tie upthe courts for a long time if they cited everyone. The bumpers come off so easily it almost appears Chrysler made removal easy on purpose. Even the air bag sensor is not located in the bumpers. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() No matter what you decide to do with the bumpers, make it your own. My husband removed his front bumpers and I painted all 4 of mine to match the car. We have not been hassled about the bumpers, lack of bumpers, or no license plate. Do what makes you happy. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In Pennsylvania, we are required to have bumpers on the car for state inspection. I took my bumpers off 4 years ago, but I put them on the front seat when I go for inspection. The car has been passed everytime. Never been stopped by the police for not having them either. My wife is also my insurance agent and she isn't happy about it, but I still don't have them on the car. |
