The most beautiful day so far this year. About 700 cars at least.....one Prowler. The cruise went from Buckingham Fountain all the way up Lake Shore Drive and back to soldier field for the car show.
Hands down my favorite car of the day....1955? Porsche Speedster Another favorite: Nomad

I didnt realize until I got home that I did not take one Kat picture, I'm used to getting photos of a group of our Kats. Its probably because I didn't have mine with us, if I did there would have been a few pics to show. Sorry! |

That Porsche Speedster in the picture looks familar. I've got one just like it in the garage. It's a "Speedster California" kit car. Mine was by Fiberfab in the early 80's, but the molds have been passed around to a couple of different fab shops over the years (latest was Street Beasts in Florida). Looks like the owner added a few slots in the decklid and some vents in the rear quarters, nice paint. Sharp wheels, too. I'm not a big fan of the "nerf bars", so put full blade bumpers on mine. |

I would have really like to have come up for the show. But the time it started I would have to have left work, come home and showered and then get in the car and head north. Too old for 2 days and no sleep any more..........and I would have driven my Dart so there would still have only been one Prowler. I hate working afternoons now that is it nice out and things I want to do that would not be a problem if I got off work at 4~6PM on Friday instead of midnight |
