I love the look of some of the aftermarket gills out there however I am a purest when it comes to the styling of the Prowler. For the most part I think the designers got it right. However I would love a grill that is all chrome, stainless or aluminum that has the look of the original grill style with the horizontal lines. Has anyone seen anything like that out there? Thanks! Some of us have chrome plated OEM grills. You could look into having that done. Then there's always the patented Alley Cat $12 grill mod that can spice up your existing grill. |

Rob The best choice in a look a like grill in chrome is Alum Craft. He makes the finest you will find in a matching style. You can look him up on the internet. Only problem is you will hate to get a bug on it.!!!!! Some where on this site there is pic's of the grill in a prowler. Dan Is the owner of the co, Give him a call and get one made.814-742-7405. You will be happy.!! I sure am.!!! |

I bought mine through Top Kat and feel that since it was he that went through the effort to have it designed and produced, it is only fair that we make an effort to purchase them through him. It would however be interesting to see what the "Direct" price would be as compared to the Top Kat pricing. My guess is that direct may be higher. |

Hello All, I build the grilles that KrazyKat has been talking about and has one on his car. I have redesigned the top plate to more match the stock original grille. The picture below does NOT show the new top plate, but it will be installed on future orders. It is a direct bolt in replacement. It features a 3/8” space between each of the 1/8” aluminum bars. It's available in a fully polished aluminum finish for $995 or chrome plated for $1400. Lead time is about 7-8 weeks. Payment is processed when we build the grille, not when the order is placed. Thanks, |

Hi Dan, really like your work... do you build a vertical version for the Prowler ? Looking for fins that fill the entire opening, not the type with the frame. Jim |

quote:I'd think that all aftermarket, "vertical-bar", Prowler grilles need to have something like the "frame" you've referenced so that the the grille's vertical bars can be attached to it, as the one from Alumacraft does (assuming we're talking about the same meaning of "frame"). That observation aside, the slimmest, least visible, aftermarket, "vertical-bar" Prowler grille "frame" I've seen is this one pictured by theprowlerstore.com, their part number ACC-822035: However, the apparent slimness of that grille's frame simply may be a function of the lighting and the angle at which that picture was taken. In any case, good luck to you in your search for the type of aftermarket, vertical-bar, frameless grille you'd inquired about earlier for your Prowler. |

Frame wasn't the correct word... should have said border. I have had the Bordered type and like it but have since gone back to a stock grille with the edge trim... the vertical fin type as pictured by Dan is what interests me..

Here's the "full" top plate that will be included on all future grille orders. It uses the same 2 rear mounting holes as the inner grille brace. |
