Good Deal, I didn't know Curt ever made trailer hitches for the Prowler. It looks like it is reinforced nicely in the middle where all the square tubing meats. |

That hitch doesn't look good to me. If you look at the OEM hitch, it has spacers welded on the outside holes because there is a surface variance on the prowler frame. This hitch doesn't appear to have them. Also the OEM backplate has a section that extends 90 degrees under the prowler frame member for added strength. This one doesn't have that. JMO You can see #1 in the schematic is the spacer I'm talking about. Same exists on the other end. Also you can see a bit of the 90 angle I'm talking about. It's just above the #5 - washer (the dotted lines). This message has been edited by beachcat on 01-06-2015 at 05:40 PM |

http://www.curtmfg.com/ I just did a quick search for the vendor's website then attempted to see if they offered a hitch for our cars. What I found is their generic make, model, and year selection chart did not show either a Plymouth or Chrysler Prowler as a choice but it does not mean they didn't at one time. I checked Curt's website also Andria and I see what you mean Roger, there are a few other things missing like what I will call nut plates that reinforce the bumper bolts. It doesn't show any hardware. It's been over 3 years since I installed my hitch and forgot some of the details. |

Germany? Free shipping? At least that is what came up on iPhone in the 'about the seller' info. This message has been edited by blue4two on 01-06-2015 at 10:22 PM |
