While using a battery tender on my Prowler, I noticed that whenever the tender would cycle, the side marker lights on the car will flash. The ignition is off, and the keys are out. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to disconnect the battery cable before using the tender?

Check that the positive and negative connections of the Tender are wired to the battery directly. If one leg is grounded you may be seeing a sneak path via the chassis.
