Help, I'm able to get the two inside bolts out easily but I can't figure out how to get the outside bolts out for removing these bumpers on the front. who has done this and can you give me any pointers? I can't get a socket or wrench in on the nuts. |

OH man! Do a search for bumper removal! There are a number of posts here that give you the correct tools and how to get to those stubborn nuts. You need small hands, a flat wrench and LOTS of patience. ------------------ |

BB THE NUTS HAVE TABS WELDED ON THEM. Use a small 1/4" ratchet and I think 13mm socket down the triangle in the frame. Using a wrench on the nut side will allow you to unbolt just a little quicker. I have heard of someone breaking the tabs off and using a ratchet on the nut and wrench on bolt head. It took me about 30 minutes to remove mine. I didn't take anything else off the car. Some have removed light & grill to remove bumpers. Have someone to hold bumpers or box to set under them so they do not hit the floor. Unplug the wiring also before unbolting. Good luck ------------------ |

Patience and perseverence are the key. When you are doing it for the first time it is tough, but it is worth the effort. It takes the small ratchet wrench and umpteen twists but you'll get it off. Wildcat is way ahead of the rest of us. Bunged knuckles is par for the course. ------------------ This message has been edited by catterumpus on 06-18-2002 at 10:13 PM |

Some beer, yelling and cursing are in order. I'd remove the grille,,,,,,,,,,,,only afew screws and afew minutes to do and you can add the AC Chrome Grill Treatment while it is out. Good luck |
