On the right side bottom front panel, there are three brackets that hold the panel in place. Each bracket has a combination of two bolt type fasteners and a large yellow plastic Christmas tree shaped holder that fits into a hole in the fiberglass side. One of mine busted and needs replaced before the side vibrates and starts slapping the side of the car. I went to the dealer and we can not see the actual combination with the Christmas tree shaped plastic holder in any of the drawings.I looked at the 2000 parts manual that is on our site, and although I see what appears to be the brackets, it does not show the combination with the yellow holder in it. Does anyone have a clue as to what this part number is? I do appreciate all the help I can get.

OK, I have an update. I went by the dealership again and talked to the parts guy I have been dealing with. He had his district factory rep out a few weeks ago and was lucky enough to show him what we needed from another Prowler that was in the shop...the factory rep was not very helpful but did say he would check on this problem. Still counting on the real experts on this site to help.

im assuming, your talking the lower smc panel that goes from behind the frt susp. to the frt of the rocker, which is a seperate piece.if you need a tree retainer clip, you can get that from the dealer.my 99 does not have the holder your talking about.that panel snaps into the frt nose on the side at the gap.on top, there are torx that hold it to body and at bottom there are 3 brkts that hold it to the body.what year is your car.it could be change from one year to another or its not a serviceable part.if you cold post a couple photos that would help.or email them direct to me.mine has no yellow holder or tree retainer.

Here is a picture of the item I need; it is not showing the christmans tree shaped plastic, as that is what is in the hole holding the side panel in. Thanks for the reply and offer to help.

i'm assuming, your missing the complete assembly.the stud, that the u shaped brkt is bolted to is mia.if thats the case, you cannot buy the stud, its part of the side pnl.
the ushaped brkt, may only come w/the side panel also.i'll give you a part #,,it may be wrong.the crash book isnt real clear.take the number to the dealer and look at his picture of the part.the number is-4815690 rt and 4815691 lt.if the stud thats part of the side panel is missing, then dont bother.if thats the case, you will have to make a brkt out of aluminum and screw to the frame and epoxy to side panel.there is no christmas tree retainer on that side panel, its a stud.if missing there are other ways to fix.which brkt and stud is gone.
