Hey everyone. I need some advice/help regarding the TPMS. Specifically, when you have new rims, can you transfer the old sensors onto the new rims and if not, what are the other options? Its a 2000 model. The existing sensors are working fine. I read some posts that said the existing system may be near its end because of the ten year life and that it can be upgraded for a cheaper price. Thanks as always for your assistance.

You can use the sensors on new rims. Be sure the right front goes on the right front, etc. They have to be placed in the exact same spot or else they will have to be recalibrated.

Ed is correct. I have done this on several occassions. I went from silver to chromes with painted silver inner barrels and then to complete chromes. Same sensors.

Is there a way to disarm the alarm bell from the sensors? I have new rims without the sensors installed and I keep getting an alarm from time to time that goes off like the tires are low. Please help its driving me nuts!
