Marty, I went to a cruise-in Sat. evening in Springboro, OH and saw Larry Conn. He stated he will be there on Saturday the 18th but is not staying overnight. Can you add him to the list of attendees at Churchill Downs? He does not own a computer. May 18th is his 50th birthday. Fixumm is turning 40 and Just JP is having a birthday that day also. We also met two new owners that just got their cats within the past few weeks and they were told to get on POA by Ken Gensheimer, Larry and myself. Hopefully they will jump in. They expressed some interest in the Louisville event, also. ------------------ |

Ed - I am tired of all these last minute people just deciding they want to join us. Tell them to go away!! In case they read this and think I'm serious, it's almost 3 AM and I ahve been checking out Churchill Downs thsi weekend to be sure we have agood spot. I had to chase away 150,000 people today from the track. I will add the names in the morning. I am REALLY happy we are still getty new people to sign up to attend. I'm still a newbie here to the group - and now that I see all that goes on and all the coordination that is required for an event, I am planning on helping you out considerably next year... but we'll have plenty of time to talk and plan this later. Less than two weeks!!! We finally the Kentucky Derby out of the way. Now I only have 5 conventions between now and the Churchill Downs Car Show. Notice that I added the weather report to the top post... I will update that frequently until the event. Also, as soon as Marty gets off his butt and posts info about security (jk Marty), then I'll link that on the top post too.... I know you're busy Marty - Most of us don't need to know about security until about Tues or Wed, anyway. Wish I could join you with my Kat in Louisville. It sounds like a lot of fun, but a previous engagement has me booked. Just wanted to mention that in Bowling Green, KY from May 14-18 are the Buick GS Nationals. For anyone in that area who enjoys seeing the country's top-notch Gran Sports from the 60's and 70's and Grand Nationals, the events are held at Beech Bend Raceway. The car show is the 17th and racing is that evening and the 18th. The Corvette plant is open during the week (only)(2- tours/day) and the museum is open 7-day (I'm pretty sure). I'd love to see a bunch of Prowlers show up at the track! |

Scattered showers is OK - as long as they stay away from Churchill Downs. I watched the same forecast prior to Derby Day and they did not get it right until abouit 2 1/2 days before. Whatever it is, we can't contol it (yet). It certainly would be best to be rain free, but it is going to be great to meet everyone and hang out together. Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |
