It's that time again. 20% discount off the $55 registartion for 2014 Chryslers at Carlisle.

The sale starts Dec 13th and ends Jan 3rd.

The official hotel is the Holiday Inn Express , 2055 Technology Parkway, Mechanicsburg, Pa 17050. This hotel has underground parking garage.
Book early.

I'll order a tent again this year. Last year it wa $200 with a table and 5 chairs. Do we need more tables or chairs? Are we cooking out this year? If so maybe another table would be good. Last year we divided the cost 5 ways. Maybe we can get more this year.

I will be signing up under "Prowler Owners Association" when I register online.

A lot of people stopped coming I think due to the heat. But with the big tent it's much cooler. So reconsider if you have'nt been up in a while MeanGeneWildbillSirRealNiteman
This is chance for some new owners to spend the weekend with the group with no real schedule.

Gary,

Count on me to pitch in for the tent again this year.

Thanks for the reminder.

I'll plan on being there Saturday and try for Friday if I am able but we'll have to see about Sunday when the time comes.

As a newbie who lives in Northern Va and has never participated in a car show, what should one expect? Seems like a couple of long days if it's just sitting under a tent, so it's gotta be more than that.

Yes just sitting around under a tent for a couple of days would be nothing short of boring.

I have attended several times over the years and while I spend quite a bit of my day's under the tent, I also look at the show cars and peruse the flea market. Many folks that walk by inquire about the cars and want to know more.

My Dad went there back in 2001 or 2002 with his New P.T. Cruiser and saw the Prowler owners there. He stopped to talk with them and they talked him into coming back the next day with his Black Tie. This is where he learned about POA and the Prowler community as I have come to know it.

I return each year mostly to visit with old friends and meet new ones. Just hanging out with the other owners is enough incentive for me. Saturday evening we typically go to dinner and continue visiting.

Some will attend every day of the event while others show up for only one day. If I am able I typically attend Friday and Saturday.

I enter my car every year mostly to get a good parking space where my doors won't get dinged and someone is usually around to keep an eye on it. The advantage is the ability to drive onto the fair grounds each day and bring a cooler and snacks instead of having to park off site then walk and walk and walk. When I buy something I can put it in the car instead of carrying it around the rest of the day. If I am thirsty, I can get something from the cooler and not wait in line to pay way to much for a beverage.

Everyone needs to attend at least once simply for the experience. For a newbie, it is a chance to meet others face to face, forge new friendships, and see other Prowlers.

I hope to see you there.

I usually walk the flea market. Sometimes I find stuff I want. Walk through the other vehicles on display. Since I have been going since the show started, I find a lot of people to talk to and I do spend a lot of time at the tent. Some of these people I have known for many years.

Well, you can just sit under the tent all day or you can
Run the road course
Roam the flea market(very big, you can't do it all)
Learn what other people do t their cars.
See plenty of vintage Mopars
Dinner in the evenings as a group
Test drive new Chryslers

The tent we get is a commercial 20 x 20 put up ahead of time with tables and chairs. We usually split the cost evenly on this. It is much better and cooler then the Walmart tents. This year we may cook out at the tent but we are generally well stocked for the weekend. There is plenty of excellent food at the fairgrounds. If you've never been you should make it at least once.

Yes you can bring the trailer, a few of us do. Once you register for the fun field, you will be given a location which will be with the Prowlers. A lot of us pre-register, but you can register at the gate.

Once you have paid the entry fee for the event, you can for the most part come and go as you please.

I would recommend that if you know without a doubt that you will be attending, you should pre-register.

Pre registering saves time since your pass is mailed to your home and allows you to by pass most lines that you otherwise would be stuck in.

Looking forward to meeting you.
