Hi Everyone. I'm now a gear head....And I like it...
My local tech installed the gears for me today...It took about 2 & 1/2 hours. He had the gears installed within an hour. He spent more time with the wiring harness and putting new fluid in... Than I let him do a test drive... The car is quicker off the start... It actually goes sideways when auto shifts into 2nd... So, I need to play with this a little more... It looks like my rpms went up about 600 rpm at 70mph... No gear noise or whine... The shifting feels much stronger (more aggressive). I like it.... Now, it's time for another track run.... I'm going on a 300 mile cruise tomorrow. So, I'll get to check it out a little more... Good compliment to our Paxton SC system... laddie...The only changes we made to the Dean's instructions were ...
1) We used #11 wire for switched 12V. 2) My tech hooked everything up just back down the harness from the TCM (under the felt pad). 3)And, he soldered all the connections & used shrink wrap covering & re-taped the harness.see ya down the road... laddie..
