Thursday Oct. 5, 2000. Our group gathered at the Grand Oasis inGulfport and began our cruising to Gulfport Rice Pavilion site forregistration & souvenir shopping. Than we were off to Biloxi Point Cadetsite and D-Iberville site and ended the day in Bay St. Louis….David N., you would have been proud of Phil. He used the David N. “blockall traffic” move to let us all enter the main drag…. Phil said helearned the move at Woodward…. The only thing missing was the radiovoice “GO GO GO GO GO GO…. We actually had two motorcycle police pullthe same move to let us into the Biloxi site. They came screaming bywith their sirens on and jumped out in front of me to block the trafficand let our caravan of Prowlers & PTs through the red light…. That wasneat…A few newcomers joined us Thursday ... Prowlers -- Dave (AL Red).PTs -- Gwen (LA Silver), Chuck (LA Taupe), Beau & Karen (LA Silver).Street Hot Rod -- Bobby & Stephanie (FL Yellow). Neon -- Steven(MS Green). We took in some music at the sites (Platters , Na Na Sha, & other bands. We all got our tickets stamped for the $30,000 in cash drawings onSunday. Last night, Karen, Gwen & I did our poker run hitting seven ofthe eleven participating casinos… Our luck was not too good…All we need now is a little cooler weather (cold front on the way –hurry).
