will this be an unconditional replacement or only if a technician thinks there is a problem?

Stupid question here, but....since I bought used, if I didn't know about this thread -- how would I be sure that I was notified? Is there something I should be doing proactively like registering with a dealer? I do have a contact where I am purchasing my trailer....should I try him? ------------------ Becky

That's FANTASTIC! We do appreciate you keeping us informed. If you talk with them any further, can you please ask if "replacing ALL lower ball joints" means that they redesigned the part? (It would be WONDERFUL if they actually put a grease fitting in. Would it make any sense to replace ALL of them with the same part that would only fail again?). Thanks again. -GRROWL

Becky,DC keeps track of who owns each car. They will notify you by mail when the recall starts.

Becky, It wouldn't hurt to check with a dealer or DC directly to insure they have your address.------------------ 2000 Black Kat "self-proclaimed" poorest Prowler owner mods: 1) ceramic pads 2) Bill's 2.1 intake with EGR bypass 3) "cracked ice" shimmers 4)49,500+ (s)miles

Being new to Prowler mania, thanks for the good work. After reading about the problems with the gas gauges, my cat's gas gauge stopped working two days later with only 2500 miles. I've checked my wheels and haven't found the chrome peeling yet. Because of you guys and all the info I can be ready for these things to happen. My Chrysler dealer is a friend and tells me that not all dealerships are rated by DC the same and that he can have anything (including wheels) replaced without question.

Chaching, DC has no way of knowing who bought a used Prowler unless it was from a DC dealer. The original owner will probably get a notification. If you have had work done on the car at the dealer they would have put the info in the computer and therefore they would know who you are. I would double check with the dealer and just keep informed here on POA to see what develops. This site is priceless.

Thanks guys - I bought from a private owner in late Sept. Have not had anything done at a dealer. Hubby is a GM auto tech. so he can do most work for me. I think I will contact the dealer I am ordering my trailer from. Thanks again for your help. POA rocks for info!------------------ Becky
