I have not looked in here for awhile but today DCX issued the following recall: "Prowler The Chrysler Group also will recall 11,655 1997-2002 Chrysler and Plymouth Prowlers to replace the lower ball joint on the front suspension to prevent it from potentially separating from the control
arm due to corrosion."

I hope some of you find this information to be useful. This is a great site. I can't wait for spring to get my Prowler out of mothballs.

Wow - a recall of the total production run! Did they list a recall #. My car goes to dealer for leaking shocks and tranny work on Monday so I might as well have them check the ball joints as well.

Just contacted the local Chrysler dealership about 5 min. ago. They are not aware of any Prowler recall. All Prowler owners should make sure they are in the Chrysler's main computer. Chrysler should notify all owners by mail of any future recalls.

Please note the message reads "will recall." The actual recall has not started yet. A formal announcement will be made in the next few weeks. Dealers will not yet have recall numbers or part information. So don't beat on your dealer at this point. We all need to wait until a recall number is issued and more information is provided by Chrysler.

David - I "LOST IT" a long time ago. I thought Don had said the recall was going to happen soon and Elmo was posting that dealers were now aware of it.

I just happen to have an appointment scheduled for Monday to take my car in for service and wa going to have them check on the recall.
