Any one ever keep track of the problems we have on our Prowler? Exception of the center cap.

sam....
If you're thinking what I was thinking, you beat me to the punch.

Are you addressing the age-old problem that, no matter what problem you bring to the dealer under warranty, their answer is "we never saw that problem before". When I called Chrysler Customer Service a while back, they had no other reports of "heat in passenger compartment when heater turned off". What is there, a dozen reports of this on the board?

An even more outrageous example is on my wife's PT Cruiser. Fortunately, she doesn't mind the wind noise on the driver's side. Of course, Chrysler had (at least at the time I called) no record of other reported wind noise problems. When my wife asked a friend why she got rid of her PT so quickly, the answer was "How can you stand that wind noise?" (yes, the dealer had looked at it and Chrysler Customer Service "knew nothing about it if the dealer doesn't report it").

SOOooo,
Are you recommending a database of problems experienced (like ripped convertible tops? Fogged headlamps? Broken wheel caps?) to help us when interfacing with the dealer?

Might be VERY helpful. I think it was YellowFever that was doing something similar on the ripped top problem, but only for that one issue.

Good Idea Grrowl,

Let's not forget:
Bad power window regulators...
Misaligned decklids and other panels

Cheers!

Grrowl,
You can add this to the list. Assuming you are keeping a list. Erratic fuel sending unit. It seems the Engineers did not make a provision for getting to the fuel sending unit. When I brought this problem to the dealer they were willing to change out the unit but explained that they would have to remove the back end of the car. Cute huh?
I told them I could live with the problem and, ironically enough I haven't had a problem since.
The problem only happened when I left the car in the hot sun for a long period of time. Anybody else had this problem?

SnapCase,

Have you had a balljoint problem yourself? I know you were concerned from another thread:
http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000771.html

Anything further to report? If so, suggest you add it to the above thread to help them out.

Thanks.

My steering has always been a little hard to turn. I have not had one yet but i believe the owner before me has on the drivers side. the bottom of the A-arm has deep parralell grooves in it. pretty much exactly the type of grooves that would occur from the piece being dragged along the ground.

Im just worried about the passengeer side now. but i have no problem vouching for the drivers side. it would explain all the other damage i noticed to the car as well...ie fender being cracked in several places and bondo-ed.

GRROWL,

Yes I like to keep it in a DATA BASE for the record, because if any one have problems they can check it and make a repair or make a correction.

I have 2002 KAT the first 200 miles I brew the engine, POA member have been help me more than any one els and DC was very nice purchased my old KAT back at notime. My new KAT still new have a factory warranty I have some minor problem such as my fan just have one speed and center cap was broken, I took to DC dealer they repaired for me at no time, but read several persons have other problems such as low tires pressure light came on and so on, I just wonder if any one can keep these important problems and solutions it will be helpful for POA member.

I just got my 2002 shop manual I start reading it seem to be help to do the diagnostics and if we can put together a list for any one have shop manual and what year we can E-Mail to ask or post the solution on POA.
