Before taking my '02 Candy to my dealer for the Ball Joint replacement, I'm think of removing the center caps myself. If I leave them on, I'm afraid the dealer might brake them during removal and I'll be stuck buying new ones and/or waiting for new ones to be ordered.Any thoughts fellow Gearheads?

Motorhead, If you break any of them taking them off put them carefully put them back on and then have the dealer take them off. When they take them off give them the (). You got the right idea, always better that you take off and put on. Good luck. Dan G.

Do the hot glue treatment. Breakage will no longer be a worry!

If you take them off and break them, the car is still under warrenty, and will cover the caps. Break them, get new ones, and then hot glue the new ones, also do the back ones.

I think the caps are broken as often when re-installing them as they are when there removed.Al
